Mai Pham is a well known name in WA fashion circles. She founded and ran Fash Stitch for 15 years, a manufacturing and design agency that serviced the WA fashion industry from 1993 to 2008.

Mai, a self taught traditional seamstress, learned her craft from her Vietnamese parents who continued to work as tailors after settling in WA in 1982.

From the age of 12, Mai helped out in her parents’ business learning about different fabrics and the skills of design, tailoring, pattern making and alterations.

Fash Stitch grew to become one of the largest and most trusted garment production manufacturers in WA with a client list that reads like a who’s who of Perth’s fashion elite – Fiona Andrews, Paris Match, Liz Davenport, Pierucci, Ray Costarella, Empire Rose, Antipodium, Morrison and so on.

When off shore manufacturing began to encroach on the local market, Fash Stitch closed its doors. But in 2008, noticing a gap in the market for high end alterations, Mai reinvented her service offering and opened Finaltouch in Piccadilly Arcade.

Mai’s background and experience and her eye for detail means she can give the right advice and make a garment work perfectly to complement an individual’s shape and style.

Today there are two Final Touch Alterations locations providing expert, hands-on advice and quality alterations and tailoring services.

At just 19, Mai opened her own boutique marking her independent foray into the fashion industry. Underpinning her success was her ability to alter ready to wear fashion expertly and according to her clients’ requirements.

With 30 years experience in multi-million dollar clothing design, sample and pattern making right through to production, Final Touch brings a wealth of experience to the alterations industry.
